As a low-income student from a single-parent household that struggled with financial security, D’Shai is committed to ensuring that financial stress will not hinder his everyday self-confidence, desires, goals, and dreams. He has seen the impact that lack of financial literacy has had on his own family and friends and has become the go-to source of information for this topic amongst his inner circle. He was born and raised in New Jersey and graduated from Stanford in 2014 with a B.S. in Management Science & Engineering. Since then, he has worked in risk management and information/cybersecurity for the past four years at Citi and is now a first year MBA Candidate at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He has become very comfortable with topics like retirement savings, money management tools and tips, budgeting, credit, etc. in supporting family and friends and looks forward to assisting students in a similar way.
